On November 8th, Americans will once again head to the polls to determine the makeup of the Congress.
With majorities of both the House and Senate at stake, the U.S. midterms represent a hugely consequential election, deciding the ability of both parties to drive their legislative priorities for the next two years and of the administration to push forward the President’s agenda.
The election also offers a measurement of former President Trump’s influence over the Republican party, with several Trump-aligned candidates up in critical states like Arizona, Georgia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
Ahead of the 2022 midterms, H+K’s U.S. Public Affairs team hosted a global virtual panel to explore some of the issues and their consequences for America’s domestic and global political future.
The impressive panel line-up made for an informative discussion about the substantive issues heading into this election and how the outcome could shape the American agenda going forward.
